Plagiarism Policy for Journal of al-anfal
1. Introduction
The Journal of al-anfal is committed to publishing original and impactful research. To uphold this commitment, we have a strict policy against plagiarism in all its forms. This policy applies to all submitted manuscripts, regardless of the author's nationality or affiliation.
2. Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of presenting someone else's work as your own, without proper attribution. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text or ideas from another source without citing it
- Paraphrasing another source's work without citing it
- Claiming authorship of someone else's work
- Self-plagiarism (reusing your own previously published work without appropriate citation)
3. Consequences of Plagiarism
Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism will be rejected. In addition, the following consequences may apply, depending on the severity of the plagiarism:
- The authors may be notified of the plagiarism and invited to submit a revised manuscript with proper citations.
- The authors may be blacklisted from submitting to the Journal of al-anfal in the future.
- The plagiarism may be reported to the author's institution or funding agency.
4. Detection of Plagiarism
The Journal of al-anfal uses a variety of tools to detect plagiarism, including text-matching software and manual review by editorial staff. We also encourage reviewers to report any suspected cases of plagiarism.
5. Responsibilities of Authors
- Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is original and that all sources are properly cited.
- Authors should use quotation marks when directly quoting another source.
- Authors should paraphrase other sources in their own words and cite the original source.
- Authors should not submit their work to multiple journals at the same time.
6. Appeal Process
Authors who disagree with a decision of plagiarism may appeal to the Editor-in-Chief. The appeal must be submitted in writing and should explain why the author believes that the decision is incorrect.
