Abstract
Qurat-ul-Ain Haider was born in Aligarh India on January 20, 1927. She got master's degree in English Literature from Lakhnawo University (India) in 1947. She was the one who revolted against the literary trends in Urdu and pioneered new phases in it. The literary span of this unique fiction writer extends to 70 years. Her first collection of fiction stories 'Pat Jarh Ki Awaz' (The Voice of Autumn) was first published in 1966. It includes seven fiction stories, in which she has depicted women's psychology with minute details. While representing women in various roles, she has tried to highlight the nature of women. Due to her extensive study, deep observation and intelligence, she was well aware of the women's psychology. She believed that desire for love, loyalty, sincerity, honour and protection are the basic features of feminine nature, no matter whether she is educated or uneducated and on job or a housewife.
