Abstract

Among the modernist writers who are important among the followers of the modern trend, the names of Surender Perkash, Ghiyas Ahmed Guddi, Balraj Menra, Ahmed Hamesh and Ratan Singh are prominent. The tradition of writing symbolic, allegorical and abstract stories was common among the followers of the modern trend. In fact, the stories written in the abstract style of writing depended on dialogues. The stories were completely devoid of plot, character, story, etc. The story written through dialogues became incoherent. In fact, the method of abstraction is a term in art painting in which some colors are scattered on the canvas through crooked lines. Which is related to the art of painting, but modern story writers started experimenting with this style in literature. During this period, the tradition of using unclear complex symbols also became common. Which had negative results. The understanding of the story became difficult for the reader, and the intense use of abstract style with symbols made Urdu story a mystery. The increasing complexities in life also found their place in literature. Now, instead of simple stories, the use of symbolic, allegorical, epic and mythological writing styles became common. Therefore, symbolic and allegorical stories in the narrative style are a reflection of their uniqueness. Among these storytellers, the names of Ram Lal, Abid Sohail, Joe Ginder Pal, Ghiyas Ahmed Gaddi, Iqbal Majeed and Ratan Singh are prominently mentioned. In their writings, the causes of human discomfort, deprivation and suffering are social injustice, economic inequality, class exploitation and political oppression. In which there are new experiences, challenges and new services of life. The fabric of the new story is made of experiences and feelings instead of events and the organization of the plot is not only on the external level, but also the driving force of internal harmony is found in them.
